Recent upgrading of the Vera Cruz punching department includes the addition of our second Trumpf Punching Machine, the Trupunch 5000. Our TC 5000 FMC continues to impress as the only punching machine with this level of automation* in South Africa. This machine is able to run autonomously by loading it own sheets using the Sheetmaster, disposing of the punched skeletons using the Trumagrip and unloading the completed parts using either the Sheetmaster or the Trumasort.
We have invested heavily in specialised tooling to fully utilise the capabilities of these state-of-the-art machines. Apart from punching, it is possible to bend, tap, roll-form and emboss - all on a single machine.
*The Flexible Manufacturing Centre (FMC) is a modular sheet-processing unit. The heart of the unit is a Punching Machine (TC 500R, TC 5000R or a Combination Laser Punch). Connected to it are automation components for loading and unloading, sorting, tool changing and storage. The Punching Machine can be expanded to create a flexible sheet processing system. The configuration stages of the FMC can be adapted to your exact needs.
