A guillotine shear is a must in any sheet metal shop. Whether a part needs to be blanked to size before punching or requires only guillotining, Trumpf’s TruShear 5064 is our choice of machine due to its precision and reliability.
The Trushear 5064 is designed with ease of use and safety in mind. The machine has a four-axis position control, making it easy to operate. The control automatically adjusts blade clearance, based on the particular material being cut. The backstop is motorised and electronically controlled. The Trushear 5064 also has a light barrier safety device.
Material handling is simplified by the vertical sheet holder. This device 'catches' the cut part and gently lowers it, thus eliminating damage to material. This is particularly useful when processing stainless steel. Small parts (< 400 x 300 mm) are conveniently unloaded to the front of the machine, further speeding up operation.
